First Impressions : Milani Eye Tech Bold Liquid Liner

I haven't done a first impressions review on my blog in AGES so I thought it was due time. Here's one that you may find interesting.

Most of you know that the liquid liner I use on a daily basis is the Milani Eye Tech Extreme Liquid Liner and it has been for awhile now. I actually did a first impressions on it way back when I discovered it (you can read it here) and I'd say my thoughts on it then still remain the same.

I happened to hit up CVS a few weeks ago and noticed this new release from Milani: the Eye Tech Bold. I didn't purchase at the time because it instantly reminded me of the NYX Super Fat Eye Marker and I hated that liner! So I said, "Nah, not right now." and what do you know a few days later someone asked me on my Tumblr if I had tried it. I replied saying not yet but that I would consider it since I love the Eye Tech Extreme so much. Fast forward to yesterday...

As most of you know, I had to make travel plans pretty last minute and I did a terrible job of packing for my trip. So amongst a few other things, what did I forget? Yep, my liner! As I've mentioned before, I sometimes I have a hard time finding it in stock because it seems to be a popular item and such was the case with the CVS I hopped. They did have a Eye Tech Bold left though, so I took this opportunity to give it a whirl and wore it for the first time today.

Pros: It's basically the NYX Super Fat Eye Marker?

Cons: You guessed it...I really disliked this. I hate to say it, but I did. Unlike its brand-mate this didn't apply in that true black or opaque color, it didn't have staying power and although you can get it to produce a decently delicate cat eye, the formula is not impressive at all. It's also the same price point as its better partner in the line, so why bother? I honestly don't see this being much different from using one of those Crayola waterproof markers on your eye.

In conclusion, lose the gimmicky marker - stick with the Eye Tech Extreme :)
